Lauren has been dancing ever since she was little. With over 20 years dancing experience, she is trained in Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Ballroom and Latin Dancing. In 2019, Lauren came 2nd in Cha Cha, 3rd in Rumba and Tango at the ASDAC Ballroom Jack & Jill competition in Canberra. Dancing is her life. She could not live without it.

Alex Alonso
Assistant Instructor
With his family being Spanish, Latin is in Alex’s blood. He is the King of feeling the beat. When Alex isn’t dancing (which is very rare), he works in IT and loves to study and exercise.
Even though Alex doesn’t teach our Group Classes as much anymore due to his other job, he is available for Private Lessons at any time.

Leonard Bauling
Swing Instructor
Leonard started dancing over 20 years ago at a Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Johannesburg, South Africa, learning dances like Cha Cha, Mambo, Samba, Foxtrot, Tango, Waltz and his favourites, East-Coast and West-Coast Swing. Leonard & his partner then started a part-time dance studio for about 5 years & also competed in national competitions and collected some medals along the way, mostly for their Jive routine. Leonard moved to Australia in 2019 and joined Hills Latin Dancing in 2022 to learn Salsa and Bachata.
